i want to get six-pack abs. i have been going to the gym and do the sit-ups 100 times a day. i still can’t get six-packs. my friends told me if you are a gal, you can’t get six-packs. is it true?

    no its not true at all eevry1 cna get a 6pack…… 100 is not enough at all.. i can do btw 70 and a 100 with no time, and it does nothing.. u need to use weights and stuff to have a 6pack

    girls can get six pack abs. if you are doing all those sit ups and it isnt working then start adding weight to your sit ups.
    but dont take it too far. I saw this ***** at the gym she worked too hard it looked like she had potatoes implanted under her skin! bleh *shutters*

    a “gal” CAN get six packs its just a matter of time it dependsd on how big you are (fat). it usually takes 6 weeks minimum. and try increasing the amount of sit-ups you do or find another excersize that works your abs!

    i got them. anyone can with a good workout routine. i’m 21 and my abs look amazing. i do a workout that incorporates alot of core stability, and i also enjoy bellydancing. that helps out alot!

    sit ups DONE PROPERLY and ab cruchers will promote them but not over night takes a couple weeks to build up tome and make the Mussle defination

    be carefull with sit up can result in injuring neck or back if it hurts stop and think about what u are doing wrong see gym instructors before starting

    That is completely false, I hav eseen pleanty of women with a six pack. It’s a matter of your body fat percentage, how you train, how long you’ve been training, where your body fat sits ect. You may be doing the sit ups incorrectly as well, make sure that you are pully your belly button in towards your spine and do them slowly. One can do hundereds of situps with no benifit at all becasue they are doing them wrong. You won’t get a six pack from just sit ups, you need to do other ab exercses as well. ex) laying on the floor with you legs extended straight out holding the feet 6 in above the ground. If it’s a goal you really want to reach, you may want to get a personal trainer.

    of course girls can get six packs..that’s such a bad steryotype…if situps aren’t working for you, use weights or try other excercises that work your abs

    Of course. They don’t usually look particularly good, in my opinion, but you CAN get them. It’s harder for girls because they usually have a little pack of fat on the abdomen (which is there for organ protection, amongst other things). Even if you’re really fit, you might still have the remains of one. The only girls who have visible 6-packs are really skinny ones, but don’t do anything unhealthy :P Ask yourself the question: Which would i prefer to have, a stomach that’s just nicely toned, or a stomach that looks like it came off a male body builder?

    YES! it is very possible just dont get to obbessed over it. I did pilates for 6 months once a week for 45mins and regular sit ups so try that and make sure your eating healty if it doesnt work it might just be you have a different muscle growth or i dont know just try hard eat good and have fun! im sure there is alot of stuff online that can help also! by the way you dont really skinny to have a 6 pack

    Yes, with a good diet and dedication to exercise it is possible…..Gets a heck of alot tougher after baby number 2 though…….
